Code 95 is a designation on the driving licence that appears after the vehicle category. This code is mandatory for the professional driving of a vehicle for which a C1(E), C(E), D1(E) or D(E) driving licence is required.
The code is valid for a maximum of five years. Code 95 is mandatory for all professional drivers from the EU and professional drivers working in the EU.
You will receive the code upon passing the basic qualification. You can find more information about Code 95 on the website of the Central Bureau for Driving Licences.
To have code 95 added to a valid driving licence, you must apply for a replacement licence. You do not need a medical certificate for this. Do you wish to renew your driving licence? In that case, you will need a medical certificate. Make an appointment online.
