Your personal data may be requested by organisations carrying out statutory duties. For example, the Tax and Customs Administration, the UWV, health insurers or pension funds.
Other organisations that may use your personal data:
- lawyers, provided they can demonstrate that they need the data for legal proceedings
- non-commercial organisations, such as sports and music clubs
- organisations with a social role, for example in the fields of care for the elderly, youth welfare or care for people with disabilities
- the Interdenominational Membership Records Foundation (SILA), which maintains membership records for religious communities
No data is passed on to private individuals or commercial organisations
Your personal data will never be disclosed to the following parties without your written consent:
- commercial organisations
- private individuals (not even for a reunion, for example)

If you do not want your personal data to be disclosed to public bodies, you can ask the local authority to keep your personal data confidential. This is known as a restriction on disclosure. The local authority will then only disclose your data to government bodies that require it to carry out their statutory duties. You cannot prevent this.
If you are registered as a resident in the municipality of Apeldoorn, you can apply for or lift your confidentiality in the following ways.
- Children aged 16 and over must apply for or lift confidentiality themselves.
- If you are under guardianship, your guardian can submit a request on your behalf to have the confidentiality order imposed or lifted.

- a copy of a valid identity document
- the completed Confidentiality request form (PDF, 65 kB).
Desk
You can submit your request for confidentiality or its revocation in person, by appointment, at the reception desk in the town hall.
You must bring: a valid form of identification.
