Claims notification for volunteers

Do you do voluntary work in the municipality of Apeldoorn? If so, you may be covered by the municipality’s volunteer insurance. This insurance acts as an extra safety net. You can make use of it if you suffer damage or injury whilst doing voluntary work and your own insurance does not cover this (in full). You can easily report a claim using our online form. Please note: You must first report the claim to your own insurer.

Volunteers are important to the municipality of Apeldoorn. That is why we have taken out a Group Volunteer Insurance policy with Centraal Beheer. This insurance provides cover if anything goes wrong whilst volunteering.

You can use the insurance if:

  • you do not have your own insurance, or
  • The organisation you work for does not have insurance.

Important to note:

  • First, report the damage to your own insurance company.
  • Please attach a statement from your organisation confirming that the injury occurred whilst carrying out voluntary work (compulsory).
  • Please also attach any other documents as required. For example, photographs, receipts or a rejection letter from your insurer.
