A temporary location is a location that you use for a short period.
- The posting must not be of a permanent or structural nature.
- Occasional stalls are not permitted at weekly markets.

There are various types of temporary sites:
Ideal location
A non-commercial stall is intended for activities that are not carried out for commercial gain. For example, for social, informational, charitable, cultural, sporting, educational, philosophical or religious purposes.
Conditions
- You may apply for a permit for a maximum of 12 days per calendar year per applicant, foundation or organisation.
No trading licence required:
- A maximum of two small, easily movable items measuring no more than 1 x 1 metre (for example, a standing table or a small mobile trolley)
- The items must not obstruct the surroundings or the emergency services, must be capable of being removed immediately, and must not be placed directly in front of the entrance to a shop or business.
Promotional location
A promotional stand is designed to promote a product, service, organisation or company.
Conditions
- You may apply for a promotional stand for a maximum of 4 days per calendar year per client.
Additional restrictions apply in the city centre:
- Promotional stands are only permitted on the Marktplein;
- On Raadhuisplein, this is only possible if space allows;
- In any case, Raadhuisplein is unavailable from 1 March to 31 October inclusive due to the summer terraces.
Temporary premises for a shop of one’s own
A temporary stall at your own shop, for example to mark an anniversary, a grand opening or a special promotion.
Conditions
- You may apply for this a maximum of twice per calendar year. You may apply for a maximum of two days at a time.
Occasional commercial trading pitches (including food trucks)
An occasional commercial trading post is a temporary commercial sales or service outlet that does not fall into any of the other categories.
Conditions
- You may submit a claim a maximum of twice per calendar year. You may claim for a maximum of one month per claim.
- In local shopping centres, there is a limit of 3 days a week. At other locations, there is a limit of 4 days a week.
- Food trucks that you hire on a temporary basis for a private party or business event fall under this category if the food truck is situated on public land. You are not permitted to place a food truck on public land for a private party held at a catering establishment with its own kitchen.

In the main shopping area, no market stalls are permitted on the main pedestrian routes.
If you only wish to hand out leaflets, flyers or free samples and do not use a stand, stall or any other sales facility to do so, you do not need a trading licence.
In some cases, there may be a charge for a temporary site. You will always be charged for the processing of your application, even if you are not granted a licence.

Precario
If you have a pitch on council land, you will also be required to pay a fee for the use of public space.
The rate is €116.00 per day.
Electrical engineering
At some market sites, there are municipal electricity supply boxes. You will be charged for the use of this electricity.
