WhatsApp Neighbourhood Watch Group

If you are a member of a WhatsApp Neighbourhood Watch group, you can request promotional materials. The promotional materials that you can request as a WhatsApp group via the online form consist of:

• Window stickers
• Click Stickers
• WhatsApp signs*

*As a WhatsApp neighbourhood watch group, you can request signs if:

• Your WhatsApp group is registered on https://www.wabp.nl/
• your WhatsApp group has been in existence for at least one year,
• and if your WhatsApp group covers the whole neighbourhood

We are putting up the WhatsApp signs in each neighbourhood. For details of the neighbourhood divisions, see the CBS district and neighbourhood classification. If there are several WhatsApp neighbourhood watch groups in the same neighbourhood, these groups can apply for signs together. A maximum of six signs will be installed.

• When submitting your request, please indicate where you would prefer the WhatsApp signs to be placed. We will take this into account as far as possible.
• The WhatsApp signs will be mounted on existing posts, such as lampposts, wherever possible.
• For each neighbourhood, we aim to ensure a good distribution of the WhatsApp signs, depending on the size of the neighbourhood. Signs between adjoining neighbourhoods will be removed.
• The local council puts up the signs. As a member or administrator of a WhatsApp neighbourhood watch group, you cannot put up a sign yourself.
• We want our signage to be easily recognisable. That is why, in the municipality of Apeldoorn, we are only installing the type of WhatsApp sign shown below.
• The stickers may only be affixed to private property, not to municipal property such as lampposts and the like.
