Rainwater butt

It’s a good idea to collect rainwater in a rain barrel so you can use it during dry spells. As rainwater doesn’t contain any limescale, it’s better for your plants than tap water.

Types of rainwater butts

Rainwater barrels come in all shapes and sizes, up to around 400 litres. Most barrels have a tap. They can also be fitted with a pump and, if required, an automatic refill system.

Rainwater drainage system

The rainwater fence is the rain barrel’s younger sibling. You can buy the rainwater fence in modules, allowing you to expand its storage capacity. Rainwater fences are also being developed in combination with planters. These fences use the stored rainwater directly to irrigate the connected plants and can also be used on balconies. The rainwater fence can be fitted with a tap. You can install the fence yourself or get help.

Costs & purchase

Rainwater barrels cost between €23.00 and €495.00 each, depending on their size, material and design.
