Paediatric Nurse – Apeldoorn (24–32 hours per week)

From expectant mothers and babies at the child health clinic to primary school children in the classroom: as a youth nurse at CJG Apeldoorn, you’ll be right at the heart of the lives of children, young people and their parents. We are looking for an enthusiastic youth nurse who wants to help ensure a healthy start and future for every child. Will you be joining our team of youth nurses soon?

This is your role as a youth health nurse
As a youth health nurse at CJG Apeldoorn, you’ll contribute to preventive care for children, young people and their parents. You’ll monitor their development, take a broad view of their social and medical situation, and answer questions by providing appropriate advice. You’ll work both preventatively and on a case-by-case basis: you’ll hold consultation hours, make home visits and carry out health checks. In doing so, you’ll monitor growth and development, administer vaccinations, but above all, you’ll act as a point of contact for any questions parents and carers may have.

Your duties will be varied:

  • You’ll see children aged 0 to 4 at the child health clinic;
  • You will be working with children from primary school age through to secondary school age;
  • You will carry out individual and group health checks, both preventative and on medical advice;
  • You take a needs-based approach and engage in dialogue with families. You tailor the care provision to meet their needs. In this way, you help to strengthen the family’s or young person’s sense of personal responsibility and self-reliance.

Working at CJG Apeldoorn
Would you like to come and work for us? That means working for a committed and dynamic organisation. You’ll be part of a diverse team, ranging from paediatricians, paediatric nurses, doctors’ assistants and health clinic assistants to educational specialists. Together, we support parents, children and young people in Apeldoorn as they grow up healthily and are brought up. We are an open organisation, where we work together to provide strong primary care and where everyone’s talents count. Over the coming year, CJG Apeldoorn will be focusing on developments in youth healthcare for children aged 0 to 12. Together, we are making a quality improvement towards a more role-differentiated way of working. As part of these developments, we are looking to strengthen our youth nursing team.

Here’s what we offer you
Your development and job satisfaction are our top priorities. That’s why you can count on:

  • A position of 24–32 hours per week;
  • A one-year contract starting on 1 November 2026, with the prospect of a permanent position;
  • Remuneration in accordance with scale 9 of the Youth Care Collective Labour Agreement;
  • Opportunities for your personal and professional development;
  • An attractive pension scheme and generous leave arrangements.

What to bring
For this role, we are looking to strengthen our paediatric nursing team. You will recognise yourself in the following:

  • A completed qualification as a Paediatric Nurse (HBO or MBO level 5 with a specialisation in paediatric nursing or obstetrics) and a valid BIG registration;
  • Experience in youth healthcare is an advantage;
  • Working with parents and alongside them, to support parents as they raise and bring up their child;
  • Good communication skills and a flexible, proactive attitude.

Before your appointment, we ask you to provide a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).
