Here’s what you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the five municipal cemeteries in Apeldoorn. You will also provide support during funerals. Ensuring that the cemeteries are kept tidy is incredibly rewarding work. Of course, you won’t be doing this on your own, but alongside 15 colleagues, including staff who are distanced from the labour market. In this role, you will:

  • The five municipal cemeteries are well maintained
  • Assisting, where necessary, with the opening and closing of graves (including at weekends)
  • Handle requests from bereaved families with respect, or refer them to the immediate line manager where necessary
  • Doing a wide variety of tasks
  • Working independently

Here’s what we offer you

  • A gross monthly salary of at least €2,472 (entry-level scale 3) and at most €3,416 (functional scale 4) based on a 36-hour week (this excludes an inconvenience allowance of €148 gross);
  • An Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 17.45% on top of your salary (minimum €431 and maximum €596 gross per month, depending on your pay scale). You can use this, for example, for:;
    • Extra income by having it paid out
    • Buying extra holiday hours.

  • 201.6 holiday hours based on a 36-hour week;

Things to bring with you
Both literally and figuratively, this role can be quite demanding. You’re not put off by physically demanding tasks or dealing with people who are going through emotional difficulties. You know that the work you do is important and makes a difference, and you enjoy that. You’re a hands-on person and enjoy supporting people who are distanced from the labour market. You also have:

  • completed a vocational course in horticulture at VMBO or MBO-3 level in terms of working and thinking ability;
  • B-E-T driving licence;
  • the motivation to take courses.
  • Experience with tractors and/or cranes is highly desirable.
