Biodiversity means there is a wide variety of plants, animals and habitats. This is important for a healthy and resilient natural environment. Not only in forests and heathland, but also in gardens, parks, fields and on industrial estates.
Things to do in Apeldoorn
During Biodiversity Week, hundreds of activities are being organised across the Netherlands. There’s plenty going on in Apeldoorn too. Together with the Zero Waste Apeldoorn Foundation, local change-makers and other partners, we invite you to get involved.
Among other things, you can take part in:
- Nature walks — walks in Kerschoten Park (17 May) and Berg en Bos (22 May)
- A moth count (19 May in Zuidbroek Park and 20 May in IJsvogel Park)
- A plant and cutting swap meet (23 May at the Impact Plek on the Zwitsal site)
- A workshop on dyeing textiles with natural materials at CODA (23 May)
