Oranjerie City Park

According to the plan, there will be less retail space than there is at present, and facilities such as a hotel and office space will be built. In addition, 450 homes will be built, 80 per cent of which will be in the affordable housing segment. Demolition of the Oranjerie is expected to begin in 2025, after which construction of Stadspark Oranjerie can commence.

At the heart of the plan is the creation of a city park covering some 4,400 m². Stadspark Oranjerie, as Bridges Real Estate has named their initiative, is therefore an important step towards making the city centre greener. It will be a place where nature, culture and vibrancy come together.

Oranjerie City Park is part of a wider complex

Oranjerie City Park is a development we will be working on over the coming years and forms part of the plans set out in the Development Plan for Apeldoorn City Park (pdf, 12.4 MB). With the city park, Apeldoorn is continuing to develop into a unique city with a distinct character. A city centre that remains easily accessible is part of that. The ‘Apeldoorn City Park’ development plan forms part of the Environmental Vision. The Environmental Vision describes how Apeldoorn is set to develop in the run-up to 2040. Apeldoorn’s city centre forms an important part of this. That is why a separate development plan has been drawn up for this area.
