Invitation

Expert meeting: “Towards a new youth policy”

18 June 2026 19:00 – 21:00 – Council Chamber, Town Hall, Marktplein 1

Youth care is under pressure. In Apeldoorn, too, we have seen a sharp rise in both the number of young people using the service and the associated costs in recent years. One in seven young people now uses youth care services. This calls for a new approach. We therefore warmly invite you to the expert meeting “Towards a new youth policy for Apeldoorn” on Thursday 18 June.

At this meeting, we will update you on developments towards a future-proof youth policy. We will look back at the report ‘Towards a New Youth Policy’ and discuss the next steps currently being taken by the local authority, its partners and the new council working group.

Topics covered include:

  • The child’s and family’s living environment
  • The social fabric: ‘Apeldoorn’s gold’
  • Access and control in practice
  • Timely and meaningful care
  • Learning from other local authorities

We will conclude with a plenary discussion on key propositions.

Are you involved in youth work, policy or implementation?

In that case, your perspective is valuable. We hope to see you on the 18th!
