New-build development at Vlijtseweg 69–75

The Canal Zone in Apeldoorn is undergoing rapid development. An attractive new area is set to emerge along the Apeldoorns Canal over the coming years. There are also plans to build new homes on Vlijtseweg (on the current site of Mood Keukens and Alldoors).

The Canal Zone: a vibrant waterfront area

In the Canal Zone, we are bringing together living, working, business and leisure. The industrial character and unique history of this area will remain clearly visible. By repurposing existing buildings and adding new developments, the Canal Zone is evolving into a vibrant waterfront destination. A wonderful place for current and future residents, businesses and visitors.

De Vlijtseweg 69–75 as it stands today. A vibrant new residential area is set to be developed here over the coming years.

From retail and commercial premises to residential properties

Space will soon become available on Vlijtseweg for a new development. Mood Keukens is closing down and Alldoors is moving to a different location. A developer has drawn up plans to redevelop the vacated site into housing.

The current plan comprises a total of 19 homes:

  • 16 smaller flats

  • 3 detached houses (along Vlijtseweg)

Open evening and viewing plans

On 14 July, the project organiser held an open evening for local residents. During the event, the initial plans and sketches were displayed on information panels. Were you unable to attend, or would you like to have another look at the plans at your leisure? You can view the panels below.
