CCTV Surveillance Protocol 2024

This location is under 24-hour CCTV surveillance. The Municipal Executive of Apeldoorn is responsible for recording the footage, in which you may also appear.

The purpose of CCTV surveillance is to safeguard health and safety around the sites, to secure access, to protect property and to record incidents.

CCTV surveillance is permitted because the municipality of Apeldoorn is required to ensure the safety of residents and staff at the municipal reception centres for Ukrainian refugees. Furthermore, the municipality of Apeldoorn is entitled to protect its property. These are known as ‘legitimate interests’.

The CCTV footage is stored for two weeks and then automatically overwritten. Footage may be kept for longer if an incident occurs. In the event of an incident, the footage may be shared with third parties (such as the police or a judge).

All information is recorded in a CCTV log. The CCTV log is also available for inspection at the location coordinator’s desk.
