Municipal council communication channels

Follow the municipal council

You can follow us on Facebook and LinkedIn and we’re always happy to show and tell you what we’re up to. Comments and suggestions are always welcome!

On Facebook and LinkedIn, you can not only see what the local council is discussing, but also find out about other council activities, such as working visits and the submission of petitions. And, of course, you can always leave a comment on both pages beneath the council’s posts.

City Council Podcast

Apeldoorn Municipal Council is launching a special pilot project: the podcast ‘Apeldoorn Makes Its Voice Heard’. Through this podcast, councillors give residents an accessible and personal insight into their work, the issues affecting the municipality and the decisions taken by the council.

In each episode, councillors discuss current issues, their role as elected representatives and what motivates them to work for Apeldoorn. All 13 council groups will feature once across the six episodes. This gives listeners a glimpse behind the scenes of local politics and helps them get to know the people behind the council members better.

The podcast is presented by Raymond Lorié and Chris Wolters from C&R Podcast. Drawing on their experience in podcast production, they ensure engaging conversations that leave room for personal stories, different perspectives and in-depth discussion.

The first episode of the city council podcast ‘Apeldoorn laat van zich horen’ will be available to listen to from 28 October on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or via this link.

Stedendriehoek Newspaper

Every week, on page 2 of the Apeldoorn edition of the *Nieuwsblad Stedendriehoek*, you can read about what’s happening at the local council. What’s on the agenda for the *Politieke Markt* or the council meeting? What do the councillors think about an issue on the agenda? Is there another ‘Ontmoeting’ event coming up in a village or neighbourhood, or a new edition of ‘Burgers & Frietjes’? You can read all about it every week on page 2 of Stedendriehoek Newspaper.
