We’re going for fruit and veg! You are too, aren’t you?
Children spend a lot of time at school. So this is a great opportunity to give them a helping hand. And that’s important, because healthy eating contributes to healthy development.
Children spend a lot of time at school. So this is a great opportunity to give them a helping hand. And that’s important, because healthy eating contributes to healthy development.
There are many ways to promote healthy eating at school. Schools that have set days for fruit and vegetables see children eating more than twice as much fruit and vegetables as those without such arrangements. A JOGG coordinator can provide support and advice in this regard. For example, you could send your child to school with fruit or vegetables from home, or take out a school fruit scheme subscription.
Small steps, big leaps: healthy eating for a healthy future!
Would you like to introduce healthy snacks – the ‘10 o’clock snack’ – at your school? The JOGG coordinator would be happy to visit. You can sign up via the registration form.
