From 12 May to 11 July, Rijkswaterstaat will be carrying out works on the Immenberg viaduct. Due to the works, the viaduct on Loenenseweg/N786 will be closed. On this page, we will keep you informed over the coming months about the works that will take place and share the diversion routes.

Up-to-date information on the works
The deck and bearings of the Immenberg viaduct are so badly damaged that the safety of the structure is at risk. To ensure the viaduct remains safe, the concrete and reinforcement must be repaired.
In preparation for the road closure on 20 March from 10.00 pm to 2.00 am, contractor Heijmans is carrying out preparatory surveys. During the surveys, one lane of the Loenenseweg/N786 near the viaduct will remain open.
Different diversion routes apply to different road users. Rijkswaterstaat has drawn up the diversion routes in consultation with the province of Gelderland, the contractor Heijmans, the emergency services and the municipalities of Apeldoorn, Brummen and Rheden.
The diversion routes and roads in the surrounding area are being monitored. Should the safety of road users be at risk, additional measures will be taken.
