4. Solar panels on roofs

• product information for the panels: type, colour, dimensions.
• product information showing how the solar panels are fixed to the roof surface and at what angle they are installed in relation to the roof surface;
• a floor plan of the roof surface showing the layout of the panels, the distance to the ridge, the eaves, the roof foot, any bends and existing roof elements such as skylights, dormer windows, pipes and the chimney. The panel layout must be clear;
• a photo of the roof surface on which you wish to install the panels;
• where necessary: technical drawings and detailed drawings to scale of the structural measures to be taken to reinforce the roof structure where the solar panels are to be installed;
• a justification for the choice of locations for the solar panels, setting out which locations were investigated and taking into account the preferred locations to be investigated as set out in the ‘Policy Rules on Solar Panels on Listed Buildings and in Nationally Protected Town and Village Views in the Municipality of Apeldoorn’.
• Drawings and photographs must be of sufficient quality to allow for a proper assessment.

5. Ground-mounted solar panels

• Site plan showing buildings and property boundaries, with the location of the panels marked to scale (scale 1:500). The layout plan for the panels must be clear. Indicate any integration of the panels into the landscape using a hedge or similar feature.
• A scale cross-section drawing of the structure and the panels; the height and angle of inclination are important.
• photos of the location where you wish to install the panels;
• product information about the panels (type, colour) and the mounting system (the structure onto which the panels are mounted).
• reasons why the panels cannot be installed on the roofs.

17. Construction of a horse paddock

• Site plan of the plot showing the exact position of the horse paddock and the fencing. The plan must show the existing buildings, as well as any hedges, trees, etc., and all surrounding plot boundaries. Indicate dimensions and distances, and use a scale of 1:500 or 1:1000.
• A plan drawing of the riding arena (scale 1:100 or 1:200), showing the dimensions and any objects in and around the riding arena.
• Elevation drawings (scale 1:00 or 1:200) showing the front, side and rear views, specifying the height of the fences/fencing OR, alternatively, details of the fences/fencing showing what they will actually look like, their height, the colours and materials they will be made of, and how they will be fixed to the ground in terms of foundations. Information leaflets and/or example photographs could also clarify this, in combination with a textual explanation/description of the other points;
• Where applicable: drawings of other structures to be erected (such as lighting columns)
• Information on the construction of the riding arena’s base. It is necessary to specify how much soil needs to be excavated and how deep this should be in relation to ground level.
• Photos of the horse paddock site.

18. Installing an air-conditioning system or heat pump (outdoor units)

When placing on the ground:

• A site plan showing the exact position of the outdoor unit to scale. Please include the dimensions of the outdoor unit and the distances to the façades and the property boundary.
• If the outdoor unit is visible from the public highway: indicate on the site plan whether and how the outdoor unit will be screened from view.
• Product information/unit specifications for the outdoor unit: dimensions (LxWxH), appearance, colour (of the unit and the cable ducts), noise levels (please note that a heat pump may produce a maximum of 40 dB measured at the property boundary; it must be demonstrated that the unit complies with this requirement). You must provide a clear illustration of what the outdoor unit will actually look like, using an information leaflet or a sample photograph.
• If a casing is to be fitted around it: please provide the product details: dimensions (LxWxH), and specify the colour and material. A manufacturer’s brochure usually provides sufficient information on this.
• Position and route of the cable ducts and feed-throughs in the façade.
• Photos of the location where the outdoor unit will be installed.

When installing on the façade:

• A perspective drawing of the façade, with the outdoor unit projected onto it to scale. The impact of the outdoor unit on the façade must be clearly shown.
• Product information for the units (LxWxH, colour (of the unit and the cable ducts), appearance, method of installation, noise level in dB (maximum 40 dB measured at the property boundary; it must be demonstrated that the unit complies with this requirement)). You must provide a clear illustration of what the outdoor unit will actually look like, using an information leaflet or a sample photograph.
• Photo of the façade and of the unit’s position on the façade.

When installing on a roof:

• A drawing of the roof plan showing the exact position of the outdoor unit to scale. Please state the dimensions of the outdoor unit and the distance to the roof edges.
• Product information/unit specifications for the outdoor unit: dimensions (LxWxH), appearance, colour, noise levels (please note that a heat pump may produce a maximum of 40 dB measured at the property boundary; it must be demonstrated that the unit complies with this requirement). You must provide a clear illustration of what the outdoor unit will actually look like, using an information leaflet or a sample photograph.

19. Charging point

20. Replacing the roofing

• Site plan of the plot showing the buildings, with the relevant roof surface indicated on it.
• Elevation drawings showing all views of the existing and proposed conditions (scale 1:100). In most cases, high-quality photographs of the building’s exterior may be sufficient in place of elevation drawings.
• Photographs of the existing roofing. These should clearly show the type of roofing/roof tile.
• Product information for the new roofing (type, colour, tile size).

In the event of roof boarding being replaced, alterations to the roof structure, an increase in building volume (i.e. if the building becomes taller as a result of new roofing or insulation) or in the case of listed buildings:

• Cross-sectional drawings of the roof structure (from the inside out) showing the existing and new conditions (scale 1:100)
• Detailed drawings of the roof, including roof boarding, insulation, roofing and the connection between the roof and the gutter, ridge, fascia boards and any other structural elements (e.g. chimney), showing both the existing and proposed conditions (scale 1:5, 1:10 or 1:20)
• Product information for the insulation package

21. Routine maintenance

In general, the following must be provided:

• site plan showing the location to which the application relates, scale 1:500.
• floor plans and cross-section drawings of the existing and proposed situations
• elevation drawings of the existing and proposed situations
• Key design details for existing and new elements relating to appearance and integration with existing structures.
• a description of the work, which must address the need for the work.
• Photographs of the current condition. Overview and detailed photographs that give a clear impression of the technical condition.

It is possible that either more or fewer drawings may be required for the works. This depends on the nature of the works and/or the listed status of the building.

22. Dividing an existing house or residential building into several residential units

Please attach the following document:

• Site plan; showing the new and existing conditions, including parking facilities and access routes, and adjoining/neighbouring plots with buildings. The plan must show the dimensions of the plot and the built-up area (number of m² of existing and new built-up area) and the dimensions of the building in relation to the plot boundaries.
• Elevation views of the existing and proposed situations, scale 1:100. Only required if the elevations change.
• Floor plan of all storeys showing the existing and proposed layouts, scale 1:100. The floor plan must clearly show the layout of the residential units, including all current and future uses, usable floor area and living areas, with dimensions indicated.
• A site plan or floor plan of the outdoor area (balcony, roof terrace or garden), specifying whether these are private or communal outdoor areas.
• Statement of the usable floor area before and after the division of the individual residential units.
