Proposal to clear graves and urn graves at Beekbergen Cemetery on 1 May 2026

The municipality of Apeldoorn hereby announces that the holders of the rights to the following private graves – E/958, E/962, E/963, E/965, E/967, E/979 and the urn graves URK 5, 21, 25, 27 have not renewed the burial rights for those graves at Beekbergen Cemetery.

The local authority intends, pursuant to the Burial Act and Article 29 of the 2018 Cemetery Management Regulations, to remove the grave monuments from the graves in question one year after the date of this publication. The materials will remain at the disposal of the entitled parties until 1 August 2027, after which they will revert to the municipality, which shall not be obliged to pay any compensation. The grave monuments will then be destroyed.

Furthermore, in accordance with the Burial Act and Article 21 of the 2018 Cemetery Management Regulations, we intend to proceed with the clearance of these graves. The graves in question that are to be cleared have been marked with a sign or a red sticker.

The actual culling will take place one year after this public notice.

Over time, the cleared graves are reallocated as new graves.
