Grave finder

Apeldoorn has five large municipal cemeteries: in Ugchelen (Heidehof), Uddel, Wenum, Beekbergen and on Soerenseweg. Perhaps you’ve got lost there at some point, whilst searching for the grave of a loved one. Where was it again? Thanks to the Grafzoeken website, you can now easily find your way to the grave of the deceased. Using your smartphone, via the information board at the cemetery or via the website.

Almost everyone has a smartphone these days. You can now use your phone to find your way around the cemetery. On the information boards at the five municipal cemeteries, you will find a QR code and a website (a URL). By opening your smartphone’s camera and pointing it at the QR code, you will be automatically redirected to the grave search website redirected. You can also enter this URL into your browser.

On this website, enter the name of the deceased. The cemetery map will show you where the person is buried. If you enable “Tracking”, Grafzoeken will help you find the grave.

You can check from home whether a deceased person is buried in one of these cemeteries. And if so, where the grave is located. The grave search function also displays details of the grave lease period. This makes it easy for you to see when the lease period ends.

Are you looking to get in touch with next of kin? If so, please post a message on the screen. When a next of kin visits Grafzoeken, they will see that you are looking to get in touch. You can also get in touch if you notice that any details are incorrect.
