Submit your notification online using the button above. The notification must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance. Demonstrations or gatherings taking place on a Sunday or Monday must be notified by 12:00 on the Friday before at the latest. Demonstrations are often known well in advance. Where this is the case, we would appreciate receiving your notification as early as possible to enable us to assess it properly.
By ‘demonstration’ or ‘rally’, we mean: a protest, meeting or gathering in a public place for the purpose of expressing an opinion, a belief or a religion.
You will be notified as soon as possible as to whether you are permitted to hold the demonstration or rally and what the conditions are. The organiser of the demonstration or rally is personally responsible for ensuring that the event proceeds in an orderly manner.
If the local authority considers that the demonstration or gathering is likely to disrupt public order, the mayor may ban it.
