The municipality of Apeldoorn generally observes the following opening hours:
- Sunday to Thursday from 6.00 am to 1.00 am
- Fridays and Saturdays from 6.00 am to 2.00 am
If you have a licence to remain open until 4.00 am, you must have a doorman on Friday and Saturday nights. This also applies to eating establishments that serve alcoholic drinks after standard closing time. Without a doorman, you will not be granted a licence to stay open later.
For catering establishments, such as a shawarma shop, the rules are as follows:
- If you have a licence to stay open until 4.00 am, you are still permitted to admit visitors after 3.00 am
- On Fridays and Saturdays, after 2.00 am, you may only serve non-alcoholic drinks
- If you do wish to continue serving alcoholic drinks, you must not admit any more visitors to your premises from 03.00 onwards.
As a general rule, we do not grant licences to hospitality businesses located outside Apeldoorn’s nightlife and CCTV coverage areas.
