Do you have a disability that prevents you from working alongside your studies? This means you are unable to take on a part-time job to earn money. In that case, we can offer you some support in the form of a study allowance. This allowance provides additional financial support.

When are you eligible for a student allowance?

If you meet the following conditions:

  • You are registered as a resident of the municipality of Apeldoorn, Brummen or Epe;
  • You are entitled to student finance under the Student Finance Act (WSF) 2000 or to an allowance under Chapter 4 of the Act on Allowances for Education Contributions and School Costs (WTOS);
  • Due to a long-term medical condition, you are unable to earn an income whilst studying;
  • You do not have a part-time job alongside your studies and/or do not receive any benefits (such as Wajong benefits). In that case, you may not be entitled to the study allowance.
  • If you are awarded the study allowance, in some cases this may be backdated to the start of the academic year

If you live in the municipalities of Apeldoorn, Brummen or Epe, you may be eligible for the amounts listed below. The study allowance is paid in monthly instalments. If you receive income from an internship, this income is exempt up to a maximum of €234.05 per month.
