If you need care or an aid and the local authority arranges this for you, we refer to this as care in kind. We arrange care in kind through providers and suppliers with whom we have a contract. Below you can see the providers and suppliers with whom we have a contract.

It is best to discuss any questions or comments you may have with the healthcare professional or member of staff at the provider/supplier. Together, you can look for a suitable solution. If you are unable to resolve the matter together, please ask about the provider’s/supplier’s complaints procedure. Please let us know if anything goes wrong via the Social Services Helpline.
