Als u ondersteuning of een hulpmiddel vanuit de Wet maatschappelijke ondersteuning (Wmo) gebruikt, betaalt u bijna altijd een eigen bijdrage Wmo. Het maakt niet uit of u deze ondersteuning of het hulpmiddel in natura ontvangt, of in de vorm van een persoonsgebonden budget.
Personal contribution under the Wmo
De gemeente meldt aan het CAK dat u Wmo‑ondersteuning krijgt. Het CAK berekent uw eigen bijdrage en stuurt u een rekening. U betaalt de eigen bijdrage aan het CAK, niet aan de gemeente of zorgaanbieder. U kunt op de website van het CAK ook zelf uw eigen bijdrage berekenen: CAK – Rekenhulp Eigen Bijdrage.
- You live in a shared household (multi-person household) with someone other than a first-degree relative (parent/child), and someone in your household has not yet reached state pension age.
- Your household’s total income does not exceed 120% of the social assistance rate applicable to you.
- You or your partner are already paying a personal contribution for ‘care in a care home’.
- Children under the age of 18 do not pay a subscription fee, except in the case of home adaptations.
Different rules apply to the personal contribution for accommodation. The CAK calculates your personal contribution in the same way as it does for people living in a care home (under the Long-Term Care Act). You can read more about this on the CAK website.

You cannot object to having to pay a subscription fee. This is laid down in the Wmo regulations of the municipality of Apeldoorn.
