Notice of an occasional celebration

  • This could involve, for example, a live performance at a catering establishment, but it could also involve, for instance, keeping the lights on for longer at a sports ground.
  • The requirement to notify the local authority is set out in Articles 4.2 and 4.3 of the General Local Regulation (APV) for Apeldoorn.
  • There is a maximum of 12 notifications per year per company or organisation. Each year, the council designates three days for festivals and events. These are public celebrations such as Prinsennacht, King’s Day and New Year’s Eve. These three days are deducted from the total of 12 notifications. You do not need to submit a notification for these public celebrations.
  • Please keep windows and doors closed during the festivities.
  • After 1.00 am, please keep the noise level down to normal.
  • Outdoor celebrations, such as those held on a terrace, are only permitted if nearby homes are situated more than 50 metres away from the venue.
  • Does the catering business have a sound limiter? In that case, the noise limiter may still restrict the noise level. If so, additional noise-reduction equipment may be installed, or the noise limiter’s bypass function may be used (if the noise limiter has this function). Under no circumstances should the seal on the noise limiter be broken. If the bypass function of the noise limiter is used, please inform the Veluwe Environmental Agency. This can be confirmed by emailing info@odveluwe.nl

Note

Is your party open to the public or on a larger scale? In that case, there could also be a event licence are required.

  • You can report your one-off event online. You must submit the digital notification at least 2 days before the event takes place. If the event takes place on a Sunday, you must submit the notification at least 3 days in advance.
  • There is no charge for making this report.
