Would you like to help a family member, for example as part of (pre-)informal care? If so, you can temporarily use an outbuilding or a portable living unit as accommodation. The key conditions are set out below.
- Up to 10 years (extension possible in the case of informal care or upon reaching retirement age)
- For family members only (1st, 2nd or 3rd degree)
- Up to 2 residents
- Permitted both within and outside built-up areas (subject to different building regulations)
