This vacancy from Tactical Purchaser & CSR Coordinator (32–36 hours) This is your next step if you:

  • are a driving force in the field of Socially Responsible Contracting and Procurement (SRCP) and want to firmly put issues such as circularity and social return on the agenda.
  • wish to make a proactive contribution to the further development of the Procurement Team into a fully-fledged Centre of Expertise.

Here’s what you’ll be doing
As a Tactical Procurement Officer & CSR Coordinator, you will fulfil a multifaceted and advisory role. You will act as the linchpin between our internal clients, contract managers and the market. You’ll make a significant contribution to the professionalisation of the procurement function and ensure that procurement is not only efficient and compliant, but also socially responsible. You’ll link procurement objectives directly to current issues such as climate, diversity, inclusion and supply chain responsibility.

Specifically, you’ll be working on:

  • independently managing a wide range of procurement processes, from multiple private negotiations to European tenders.
  • advising and supporting colleagues, project leaders and internal clients on strategic procurement decisions and contract optimisation based on spend analyses.
  • to act as the primary point of contact and sparring partner for issues relating to MVOI and the Circular Economy.
  • drawing up, implementing and evaluating the MVOI action plan on an annual basis, and ensuring that it is embedded within our policies and work processes.
  • to support contract managers in maximising the results and social value derived from contracts throughout their term.

  • A gross monthly salary of up to €6,422 based on a 36-hour week (scale 11).

Things to bring with you
You are a capable adviser who can easily switch between strategic, tactical and operational levels. You know how to get people on board with change, recognise opportunities to achieve social objectives through procurement, and are able to reconcile diverse interests. You possess vision, analytical skills and the ability to persuade, and you always demonstrate initiative and a sense of ownership in this regard.

In addition, you have:

  • HBO level of working and thinking, supplemented by a completed NEVI 2 qualification.
  • demonstrable experience of independently managing tendering processes, the 2012 Public Procurement Act and public procurement.
  • demonstrable experience of and broad knowledge of MVOI, the circular economy, sustainability, climate, social return and supply chain responsibility.
  • an understanding of administrative relationships and organisational processes within the public sector (experience of providing advice in an administrative/public sector environment is a strong advantage).
