Here’s what you’ll be doing
As a consultant for the neighbourhood team, you listen, ask probing questions and explore how families and young people can move forward on their own. Sometimes with the help of their own network, sometimes with light support, and sometimes with specialist help.
In doing so, you take a broader view than simply focusing on parenting and growing up. You are able to look at a situation from different perspectives and work with the family to find appropriate solutions. The support focuses on increasing the family’s self-reliance and strengthening their social network.
