The Apeldoorn Centre for Contemporary Culture (ACEC) is an art centre and exhibition space in Apeldoorn. In addition, the foundation serves as the centre of expertise for visual arts in public spaces and is involved in organising events such as the Royal Light Festival and the Maaiveld Festival. ACEC is also developing various audio tours in collaboration with Bureau Max and Apeldoorn Partners.

For (aspiring) photographers, Apeldoorn Photo the umbrella organisation. Throughout the year, the foundation organises various activities featuring talks and gatherings centred on photography, including the Photo Café. It is also the organiser of the biennial Photo Festival. In addition, the foundation is involved in the appointment of the city photographer.

Culture Under One Roof, Apeldoorn (CODA) is a museum, library, archive and makerspace all under one roof. From exhibitions of jewellery and visual art to talks, workshops, children’s activities and the CODA ExperienceLab. At CODA, there’s always something to see, do or discover – for young and old alike.

• The CODA Museum showcases contemporary art, paper art, jewellery and themed exhibitions.
• Read, learn, listen and meet people at CODA’s libraries. Drop in for books, study spaces, consultation hours or creative activities.
• At CODA ExperienceLab, residents of Apeldoorn learn how to use 3D printers, laser cutters and other creative techniques. Workshops are also held regularly.

GIGANT It is Apeldoorn’s arthouse cinema, a music venue for well-known bands, emerging artists and dance nights, and a centre for courses and cultural education in schools.

• GIGANT’s Course Centre offers courses in a wide range of creative disciplines. From dance and theatre to writing and photography, all under expert guidance.
• Come and watch smaller, unique independent films at the GIGANT arthouse cinema. These are films that don’t make it to the big screen, but are all the more special for it.
• GIGANT’s pop stage hosts old favourites and new darlings, and it’s the place to be for wild parties.
• Cultuurwijzer is GIGANT’s cultural education specialist and acts as a facilitator, broker, adviser and organiser in primary and secondary education.

The Apeldoorn Masterclass International Foundation organises a variety of masterclasses in instrumental music and concerts throughout the year. Renowned musicians act as guest tutors for talented young musicians from all over the world. The masterclasses and concerts are open to the public.

The Foundation National Youth Orchestras of the Netherlands (NJON) is the national talent incubator for musical talent. The organisation supports young talents aged between 14 and 26 in their development, provides them with musical ‘flying hours’ and helps them build a professional career as musicians. Every year, the NJON organises the NJON Music Summer in Apeldoorn and the rest of Gelderland.

De Ereprijs Orchestra is an orchestra dedicated to contemporary commissioned works, for which composers write specifically. The orchestra comprises fourteen musicians and is heavily involved in initiatives relating to education, talent development and multidisciplinary projects. During the event organised by De Ereprijs Young Composers’ Meeting Young professional composers (from all over the world) aged 30 and under are given the opportunity to work on their own compositions and, in doing so, to develop their talents, broaden their knowledge and build their network.

Het Loo Palace was built in 1686 on the orders of King-Stadtholder William III. It has been a national museum since 1984. The museum offers visitors the opportunity to view rooms furnished in the style of the 17th^the– and the 20^steroyal residents of the -th century. In addition to a permanent exhibition on the Royal Family, the museum also hosts temporary exhibitions.

The Gelders Productiehuis – based at the Zwitsal site in Apeldoorn – creates productions for and with specific target groups in the leisure sector and arts education. All of this has a regional focus. The foundation aims, in particular, to inspire children and young people to take an interest in the performing arts in an accessible way. Twice a year, the Gelders Productiehuis stages a performance with a social theme.

Orpheus Theatre is one of the five largest theatres in the Netherlands. The theatre has three auditoriums for a wide range of theatre productions and concerts, and its own restaurant where various (amateur) artists also perform regularly and young people help out as guest programmers. The theatre also organises outdoor performances in local neighbourhoods for young audiences.

TheaterMakers Radio Kootwijk (TMRK) produces theatre performances at the Theaterloods that explore the intersection of work, life and love. They create theatre performances in close collaboration with organisations for their audiences. In addition, they support organisations in fostering a culture that provides space for reflection, dialogue and questioning.

Tim Koldenhof Producties (TKP) is a theatre school, production company and events organiser based in Apeldoorn. Every year, TKP organises the Live in Apeldoorn music festival on the Marktplein and various events at the Zwitsal Terrein.
