Everyone has a talent for the arts; young and old, beginners and advanced, whether in music, singing, dance, visual arts or theatre. Apeldoorn offers you the chance to develop that talent at any time and at any level. Of course, this starts at school, but there are also plenty of places outside school where you can develop your talent.
Culture Guide is the cultural education specialist and acts as a facilitator, intermediary, adviser and organiser for primary and secondary education. Schools can seek advice and choose from the wide range of activities offered by our cultural institutions. Teachers can be trained as in-house cultural coordinators (ICC’ers) via the Cultuurwijzer.
The Apeldoorn Talent Development Platform GRAS supports local musical talent through various projects. GRAS helps with networking, creating and performing. The platform offers intensive guidance, collaboration and the opportunity to perform on stage. It provides studio facilities, a writers’ camp and band coaching. GRAS also offers advice on music lessons and helps participants find collaborators such as new band members, rappers and producers.
Joji Na School of Arts offers dance, singing and acting lessons for all ages and at all levels. For young performers aged 8 to 18, there is an in-depth programme in the performing arts.
SPMA stands for Association of Private Music Teachers in Apeldoorn. The SPMA is a group of teachers who give music lessons to children and adults, to beginners and advanced learners, either one-to-one or in small groups. All teachers are qualified and have extensive teaching experience. They run their own practices in their own premises in Apeldoorn and the surrounding villages.
