Haven Centrum Car Park

The entrance to the car park has been moved from the Stadskade to the façade that lies in line with Korte Molenstraat. The new entrance opened on 21 July. With the car park’s new entrance and the new pedestrian route, we are creating a better connection to the city centre, which is good news for shoppers. Work to close off the old entrance will continue until the end of December. Only a pedestrian entrance will be reinstated on that side. The car park will remain accessible as usual whilst the work is underway.

There are also now more places available where you can charge an electric car. A large section of the basement (directly behind the new entrance) is now equipped with charging points. This makes the Haven Centrum car park the go-to car park for electric vehicle charging. Furthermore, steel baskets have been installed on the upper car park decks, through which plants are growing, which in turn benefits biodiversity in the city.

The upper floors of the car park are currently closed due to cracks forming in some of the ridges of the concrete columns on those floors. These cracks are being monitored and no change has been observed. An investigation into the overall structural condition of the car park is currently underway. A repair plan will be drawn up to address the issues identified by this investigation and the cracks. Repair work will take place early next year. Once this is complete, the upper floors will be available for use again.
