Aquadoorn Swimming Pool

Construction of the new Aquadoorn swimming pool on Vlijtseweg is in full swing. Aquadoorn will replace the Sprenkelaar, which has reached the end of its useful life. The new Aquadoorn swimming pool will feature a multi-purpose 50-metre pool that can be divided into a 25-metre section and a 23-metre section, as well as a 25 by 12.5-metre pool for specific user groups. In addition, Aquadoorn will have a 40 m² paddling pool. There will also be two family water slides and a wellness area with a steam room and hot tubs.

At the end of May 2025, Wind Design + Build began construction of the new swimming pool. A great deal has happened on the building site since then. The foundations have been laid, the swimming pools have been cast, and some of the tiling has been completed. The floor slabs and a large proportion of the internal walls have been completed. The timber trusses and façade columns have also been installed. As a result, the building is increasingly taking on its final shape. You can see this in the video below.

In the meantime, work is continuing at full speed. The highest point will be reached in September 2026. Reaching the highest point marks the start of a new phase in the construction process. Over the coming months, work will continue on the façades, the building services and the further completion of the building. The various pools and other facilities will also be further fitted out and finished.

Aquadoorn: An Overview

The Aquadoorn swimming pool will be situated in a lush, spacious park, so you can literally bathe in greenery. From the pool, the extensive use of glass offers views of the park. Curious about the design? Take a look at some of the concept images below.
