Grant for swimming pool hire by swimming clubs

Swimming clubs in Apeldoorn may be eligible for a financial contribution towards their swimming pool hire costs under the Apeldoorn Swimming Club Swimming Pool Hire Subsidy Scheme. Swimming clubs may apply for a grant covering up to 60% of the budgeted swimming pool hire costs for municipal indoor swimming pools per calendar year. The swimming pool hire costs eligible for the grant must be for swimming activities organised by the swimming club for its members.

The swimming club may apply for a grant for 60% of the budgeted swimming pool hours in municipal indoor swimming pools per calendar year. You must submit this application by 1 October of the year preceding the year to which the grant application relates. The conditions can be found in the Subsidy scheme for swimming pool hire by swimming clubs in Apeldoorn.

You must include the following as attachments with your application:

  • A description of the activities for which the grant is being applied for.
  • A description of the objectives and outcomes that the activities are intended to achieve.
  • A budget for the year to which the application relates, approved by the board or members. The budget sets out, broken down by swimming activity, the pool hire costs and the requested 60% grant towards those costs. Where applicable, the budget shall also include any grants or reimbursements applied for from other governing bodies, private organisations or individuals in respect of the same activities for which the grant is being applied for, stating the current status of these applications.
  • A statement of any grants, allowances or subsidies of any kind, funded from public funds, which have already been or will be received in respect of the activities for which the grant is being applied for.
  • Financial statements most recently approved by the board or members, in which the pool rental fees are specifically itemised. If the legal entity is less than one year old or is in the process of being incorporated, a copy of the budget drawn up at the time of incorporation will suffice.

Grants of up to €10,000.00 are awarded immediately, and the grant is paid in a single instalment. You therefore do not need to submit an application for the grant to be awarded.

For grants exceeding €10,000.00, the council will provide an advance payment of 80% of the grant amount awarded. This advance payment will be paid in four equal instalments. You must submit a request for the grant to be finalised by 1 May at the latest following the end of the calendar year.
