Application for your child under 18?

You can apply for an extract if you have parental authority and your child is registered at the same address as you.

You can request an extract from the BRP in two ways:

1. Online
   Apply for the extract online using the ‘Apply’ button at the top of this page. You pay via iDeal.
   We will send the extract by post to your home address within 3 working days. It depends on the postal delivery when you receive it.
2. Desk
   Make an appointment via the ‘Make an appointment’ button at the top of this page to request the extract at the counter. You will immediately receive the extract at this appointment.

Take to appointment:

• A valid identity document
• A means of payment (preferring debit cards to cash)

Need an extract for a housing association?

After the municipality has made the extract, you can view it in your case via My Apeldoorn under Burgerzaken. You can then download the document in advance and share it with the housing association. You will receive the official extract on value paper by post within three days.

Request a BRP extract for someone else

You can request a BRP extract for someone else. Make an appointment via the ‘Make an appointment’ button at the top of this page to request the extract at the counter.

Take to appointment:

• A valid proof of identity of yourself
• (A copy of) a valid identity document of the person for whom you are requesting an extract.
• A completed and signed authorisation form (pdf, 160 kB).

If it turns out afterwards that you do not need the extract or that you requested the wrong document, unfortunately we cannot refund the cost. Costs have then been incurred to look up your details.

You can choose from several extracts from the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP).

• Extract BRP standard
  Extract containing name and address details, date and place of birth.
• Extract from BRP for housing including address history
  Extract containing name and address details, date of birth, place of birth, number of residents, date of commencement of current address, all previous addresses (address history) and name and date of birth of family members.
• Extract from BRP with marital status
  Extract containing name and address details, date of birth, place of birth and marital status.
• Extract from BRP with citizen service number (BSN)
  Extract containing name and address details, date of birth, place of birth and citizen service number.
• Extract from BRP with parental authority (Dutch and English) for trips with minors
  Extract containing name and address details, date and place of birth of the child and details of parental authority as known to the municipality. The extract is in Dutch and English.
• International extract from BRP
  Extract containing name and address details, date of birth, place of birth, marital status, date of registration, nationality and parental information. An international certificate has a fixed format. You cannot choose which data to appear on it.

A BRP extract does not have an expiry date. It does say when the extract was made. An extract may usually be 3 or 6 months old. You can check this with the authority that wants your extract.

You can apply for proof that you have been deregistered abroad at the Non-Residents Register (RNI) counters. For more information about the RNI, please visit the central government website.
