Aquadoorn Swimming Pool

At the end of May 2025, Wind Design & Build began construction of the new Aquadoorn swimming pool on Vlijtseweg. The site has been prepared for construction and the access roads have been adapted to accommodate construction traffic. In early June 2025, the foundation stone was laid by Councillor Peter Messerschmidt, and in October 2025, the floor of the 50-metre pool was poured. Following the installation of the walls of the 50-metre pool, work has been carried out over the past few months on the first-floor slab. In the video below, you can see how the slabs are reinforced and then concreted.

Next, the walls were erected and work began on the first-floor slab. The slabs were reinforced and then concreted. The wooden trusses and columns along the façade have now also been installed; you can see these in the video below.

The Aquadoorn swimming pool will be situated in a lush, spacious park, so you can literally bathe in greenery. From the pool, the extensive use of glass offers views of the park. Curious about the design? Take a look at some of the concept images below.
