Beekbergen North

Several streets in Beekbergen Noord no longer meet modern standards. The quality of the tarmac is poor and it needs replacing. At the same time, the council wishes to improve road safety and, where possible, add green spaces to the streetscape. The public space will also be decoupled.

What is disconnection?

The water from your toilet, shower and kitchen drain ends up in the sewer system. This wastewater is treated at the treatment plant. Rainwater currently also flows into this sewer system. By installing an infiltration sewer, the rainwater is collected in a separate sewer system so that it is gradually absorbed into the groundwater. During heavy rainfall, this reduces the impact on the environment and means less wastewater needs to be treated at the treatment plant.

Hagenweg, Waterjufferstraat and Libellestraat

The tarmac surface of the carriageway is being replaced with paving stones. Raised sections will be installed at the junctions of Hagenweg with Waterjufferstraat and Libellestraat. A raised section will be installed at the junction of Libellestraat with Waterjufferstraat. On Hagenweg, the verge and the pavement in front of numbers 1 to 27 (on the odd-numbered side) will be reversed. The pavement will now run along the property boundary, with the verge alongside the road. The carriageway on Waterjufferstraat will be narrowed, and the parking spaces will be situated in line with the green verges. Grass-paving slabs will be laid in the parking spaces to create a greener appearance. Waterjufferstraat will become a one-way street running from Libellestraat to Hagenweg. Where possible, green belts, possibly including trees, will be created. The pavement on the even-numbered side will be narrowed. Both the road and the green strip will be widened by approximately 50 cm. An infiltration drain will also be installed in Hagenweg, Waterjufferstraat and Libellestraat so that rainwater from the road can seep directly into the ground.

Wolterbeek Avenue

The tarmac surfacing on the carriageway will be replaced with paving stones. The road will be narrowed. The parking spaces will be incorporated into the verge and laid with grass-paving slabs. The driveways to the properties will be paved with concrete slabs to distinguish between the parking area and the driveway. Raised kerbs will be installed at the junctions of Wolterbeeklaan with Keizersmantel, Vlinderstraat, Hagenweg, Herman Coertsweg and Waterjufferstraat. Where possible, trees will be planted in the green verges. An infiltration drain will also be installed on Wolterbeeklaan so that rainwater from the road can seep directly into the ground.

King's Page

The tarmac surfacing on the carriageway will be replaced with paving stones. The parking spaces on the odd-numbered side will be moved to the verge next to the trees. Grass-paving slabs will be laid in the parking spaces to give the whole area a greener look. Where possible, the verges will be widened. Raised sections will be installed at the junctions of Koningspage with Koningspage and Henrick Minnekenweg. An infiltration drain will also be installed in Koningspage so that rainwater from the road can seep directly into the ground.

Tullekensmolenweg

Speed bumps will be installed at the T-junctions where Tullekensmolenweg meets Vlinderstraat, Wolterbeeklaan, Atalanta, Kruisweg, Ruitersmolenweg and Oude Apeldoornseweg. Between the junctions of Tullekensmolenweg with Kruisweg and Ruitersmolenweg, and the junctions of Tullekensmolenweg with Ruitersmolenweg and Oude Apeldoornseweg, speed bumps will be installed to reduce traffic speed. Two cycle lanes made of red asphalt will be laid on the carriageway. On the side of Tullekensmolenweg with the even house numbers, a pavement will be constructed from Arnhemseweg to Oude Apeldoornseweg. An infiltration drain will also be installed in Tullekensmolenweg so that rainwater from the road can seep directly into the ground.
