You are required to inform residents, neighbouring businesses and other stakeholders located within a 200-metre radius of the event of this in writing.
Informing local residents
In the location profile From the neighbourhood section, you can see which area and which organisations are involved. Even if your location is not included in the profile, the duty to provide information. For indoor events, it is often sufficient to inform a smaller section of the local community.
In an information letter, you state:
- when the event takes place
- what the set-up and dismantling times are
- how local residents will be affected by this. Think of noise, music, traffic, etc.
- what you are doing to minimise the disruption as much as possible.
Finally, please provide the name and telephone number of the contact person who will be available before and during the event.
