Recruiter

Looking for top candidates for roles that make a difference to society, using your creativity and network to attract potential employees to us, whilst being given the freedom to innovate. Does this sound like your next challenge?

This vacancy from Recruiter (32–36 hours) This is your next step if you:

  • wants to pull out all the stops to recruit from a wide range of target groups.
  • wants to work independently of location and time and to be given the freedom to develop.
  • wants to bring about change and further develop recruitment, together with your colleague.

Here’s what you’ll be doing
From urban planners to data specialists. And from parks and gardens staff to advisers at our Customer Contact Centre. At Apeldoorn City Council, you’ll come across a wide variety of roles. Roles for which you’ll be recruiting top candidates. In this way, as a recruiter, you’ll be helping to shape the Apeldoorn of tomorrow.

Over the past few years, we’ve been working on the fundamentals of recruitment and, of course, filling a large number of vacancies. With nearly 300 vacancies each year, we certainly don’t get bored. That’s precisely why we’re looking for a new recruiter: it’s time to take our recruitment to the next level. You know better than anyone how the current labour market works and how to approach it. Together with your colleagues in HRM, you’ll work out what a manager is really looking for and needs in his or her team. In our view, that’s more than just the familiar ‘multidisciplinary linchpin’. Once the requirements are clear, you’ll advise on recruitment strategies and set to work finding the best candidates for your vacancy.

In practical terms, this means that you:

  • Work with the hiring manager and/or the HR adviser to draw up an action plan for new vacancies.
  • Reaching out to candidates, choosing the right channels and devising other ways to fill the vacancy.
  • Build up a network and a talent pool. You’ll also draw up a plan for how to handle open applications and rejected candidates who might be a very good fit for another department.
  • Provides advice on the use of new tools that are essential for retaining top talent. And, of course, champions their use.
  • Work alongside your colleague to put the municipality of Apeldoorn on the map as a top employer.

Working for Apeldoorn
…means working for an open and ambitious organisation. With over 170,000 residents, we are the 12th largest municipality in the Netherlands. Together with around 2,000 colleagues, we are shaping the Apeldoorn of today and tomorrow. In the coming years, our population is set to grow to at least 180,000, which presents some interesting challenges for you as a recruiter. Will you help us attract and retain the professionals who will grow alongside us?

In short: plenty of challenges for you and your team! You’ll be working in recruitment. Together with Arline, who keeps everything running smoothly for employers and candidates, and with Jannika and Régy, with whom you’ll be working to further develop our recruitment processes. What characterises your new team? It’s, of course, our commitment to delivering the highest quality for both managers and candidates. And the personal connection we share with one another. Recruitment is part of the Human Resources & Organisation department.

At Apeldoorn City Council, you won’t just be working on recruiting candidates, but also on your own personal development. With plenty of opportunities for growth, we’re an ambitious organisation. You won’t often find a closed door here – but you will find reliable and innovative colleagues!

Things to bring with you
You’re a natural networker: you find it easy to build relationships at all levels, both within and outside the local authority. You’re good at coming up with new ways to reach our target groups. That’s why it’s important that you’re creative and results-oriented. Furthermore, you are a strong adviser who knows how to get things done: you spot opportunities to innovate in recruitment and take a leading role in this. You work in a goal-oriented way, experiment and demonstrate the results of your experiments. You also have

  • higher vocational education (HBO) level of work and thinking
  • experience as a recruiter.

Here’s what we offer you

  • A position working 32–36 hours per week
  • A salary of between €3,824 and €5,624 gross per month (pay scale 10) based on a 36-hour working week;

    • Extra income by having it paid out.
    • Buying extra holiday hours.
  • An attractive pension scheme.
  • A good work-life balance, with the option to save up leave and flexible working hours;
  • A focus on the opportunities we offer as an employer in the areas of learning and development, both in terms of professional skills and career progression;
  • We have a multi-year professional development programme designed to support your personal development, so that we can provide the best possible service to our residents. The programme offers you the freedom to shape it yourself and make your own choices.
  • 201.6 holiday hours based on a 36-hour week;
  • An attractive pension scheme;
  • It’s a lovely setting, as our townhouse has been beautifully modernised and fitted out to support flexible working;
