Here’s what you’ll be doing
As a strategic HR adviser, you are the key link between our organisational objectives and a future-proof HR policy. As our HR strategy has just been revised, there is a wonderful challenge ahead. We are currently in the concept phase for the coming years (with our sights set firmly on 2030), and you will work with your colleagues to flesh this out further and ensure it is effectively implemented across the organisation.

You always look beyond the here and now. You identify trends and translate them into concrete, innovative policy proposals. In doing so, you ensure that policy does not merely exist on paper, but delivers tangible results in practice for our staff and managers.

Specifically, you’ll be working on:

  • developing, updating and implementing HR policies that align seamlessly with societal developments and our revised HR strategy;
  • advising the board, management and other stakeholders at a strategic and tactical level on complex HR issues and organisational developments;
  • anticipating challenges such as working with a flexible workforce, attracting (young) talent, skills development and promoting mobility;
  • building support within the organisation to actually turn ideas into sustainable improvements.

You’ll be working within the Human Resources & Organisation department. There are around 25 colleagues, including those in HR, recruitment, careers & mobility, learning & development, and organisational consultancy. What characterises your team? Here’s what we offer you

  • A position working 32–36 hours per week.
  • A salary of between €5,369 and €7,253 gross per month (scale 12) based on a 36-hour week.
  • An Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 17,45% on top of your salary. You can use this, for example, for:
    • Extra income by having it paid out
    • Buying extra holiday hours
  • The option to save up leave and flexible working hours.
  • A focus on the opportunities we offer as an employer in the areas of learning and development, both in terms of professional skills and career progression;
  • 201.6 holiday hours, based on a 36-hour week.
  • An attractive pension scheme.
  • It’s a lovely setting, as our townhouse has been beautifully modernised and fitted out to support flexible working;
  • Can you work (partly) from home in your role? If so, you will receive a home-working allowance.
  • Do you travel to work by public transport? If so, you’ll be fully reimbursed. Do you travel by car, bike or on foot? If so, you’ll receive an allowance for this.

This is a role for a strategic thinker with exceptional advisory skills. You are someone who dares to think outside the box and understands how to make an impact in a complex, ever-changing environment. You have a clear understanding of major societal issues and know exactly how an organisation needs to be structured in terms of culture, leadership and talent to tackle these challenges. You are capable of turning policy into reality.

In addition, you have:

  • a successfully completed university degree (higher education level);
  • extensive and relevant experience in strategic HRM consultancy, preferably within a complex (public sector) organisation;
  • the ability to simplify complex concepts and really engage people in change processes.
